After high school I attended the University of Delaware and got certified to teach world languages, specifically Spanish and German. my first job was a fluke - I was put at Hebron (not by request) to student teach and teach one class at the same time, and I ended up staying for 7 years. During those 7 years, I had 2 daughters, Rachel and Caroline. After Caroline was born, I took an extended leave for 2 years. I ended up teaching again at Reservoir high school in Howard County and then at Century High School in Carroll County, but nothing ever felt like Mt. Hebron. I had my third daughter, Grace, while teaching at Century, so I left teaching to try something different. I taught Emergency Preparedness to adults for two years, but ended up calling Mt. Hebron to see if they had any openings, so here I am again, teaching German and Spanish at Mt. Hebron. Otherwise, life has been good, just running my kids around, spending time with family and friends in the summer, and counting my blessings!
